02Should I wait until I know the exact glass size before calling?
No. Call with the location and a description of the damage. Explain whether the opening is exposed and whether people need to use it. Measurements and a replacement specification can follow once the immediate needs are understood.
03When is board-up the right next step?
Board-up provides temporary protection when an opening is exposed and a permanent repair is not yet possible. It is especially relevant when replacement glass needs to be ordered. Ask for both the immediate protection and follow-up repair to be explained.
04Can broken glass be replaced on the first visit?
Sometimes the right replacement is available, but custom size, safety treatment, tint, or a sealed unit can require an order. Ask what can be secured immediately and what needs a later installation visit.
05Will the quote include broken-glass removal and cleanup?
Ask for removal, disposal, and cleanup to be included explicitly in the scope. Describe any glass inside rooms, on a public walkway, or in a business entrance so the area affected is understood before work is priced.
