Door repair.
Make the everyday entrance work again.
Sticking, dragging, slamming, or failing to latch: a small issue with a door can interrupt the whole day. We look at the complete door assembly to understand the cause.
Start with a description. The scope, price, and timing are confirmed before you agree to the work.

What the repair
needs to account for.
- 01Alignment and operation
- 02Hinges, pivots, rollers, and closers
- 03Latching and fit within the frame
The right approach depends on the existing opening, material, and condition. Assessment establishes the options, scope, and timing; you review the plan before proceeding.

Questions about door repair.
The cause matters as much as the symptom.
Ask about your repair01Can my door be repaired instead of replaced?
A hardware or alignment fault may be repairable. Damage to the door or frame can call for a different approach. The first step is checking how the door hangs, moves, closes, and secures before choosing parts or a replacement.
02Why is my door dragging or sticking?
Alignment, worn hinges, a changed floor clearance, or movement in the door and frame can cause rubbing. Tell us where it catches and whether the problem changes with the weather. That helps guide the assessment.
03Why does the door close but fail to latch?
The latch may miss its strike because the door has dropped or the opening has moved. Worn hardware, tight weatherstripping, or a frame problem can also interfere. A replacement lock alone may not address the cause.
04Why does the lock work with the door open but not when it is shut?
That can indicate interference between the bolt or latch and the frame or strike. It does not by itself prove the lock is faulty. Describe whether you must push, pull, or lift the door to secure it.
05How can I tell whether the problem is the frame or the hardware?
Uneven gaps, repeated rubbing, loose fixings, or a latch that keeps missing may involve the surrounding frame. Similar symptoms can come from worn hinges or hardware, so diagnosis should consider the whole opening.
06How much does glass or door repair cost?
There is no single price that fits every opening. Glass size and specification, damaged hardware or framing, access, and temporary protection affect the work. Ask for the scope and price before authorizing the repair.
